Introduction to Enamel AT WESTSIDE MARKET ROSWELL - March 17th 1-3pm
Maybe you learned enamel at summer camp as a kid and want to get back into it? Or perhaps you've admired colorful enamel jewelry and thought, "I'd love to give that a try!" This introduction to the art of torch-fired enameling is the perfect place to start!
Enamel is the art of fusing powder glass to metal to create colorful, durable designs. In this 2 hour class, you'll learn everything from how to properly clean your metal, to safety precautions when working with glass and a torch, and you'll complete enamel jewelry in the colors of your choice (and I have A LOT of colors to choose from)!
This is truly an introductory course; no prior jewelry-making knowledge is needed. The class caps at 6 students, so sign up before it's full! All materials are provided, included assorted copper shapes, sterling silver ear wires, sterling silver chains, assorted opaque enamel colors, safety glasses & N95s.
